Per l’opera dal titolo :”Paesaggio Surreale”

Nella visione onirica dove il pensiero si configura in molteplici immagini, l’artista attraverso stilemi inquadrabili nel simbolismo surrealistico ha evocato l’idea dell’uomo nella sua apparenza.
Infatti l’opera, in una sorta di paesaggio, pone in essere il prodotto umano in un ambito edificante in apparenza dissacrante, come espresso dall’edificio-forse a forma di croce posto al centro, dalle gambe femminili divaricate a passo di danza e un globo racchiuso da due percorsi, con figure simboliche, convergenti alla base dell’edificio.
Sembra che l’artista voglia interrogare l’inconscio per capire o dare alla vita il senso di appartenenza che le è proprio, oppure dissacrarne l’intrinseco valore, dall’origine fino al suo tramonto posto all’orizzonte.

La tela mostra in primo piano un uomo vestito di blu mentre trasmette una giornata di cronaca. La linea d’orizzonte si piega al centro attribuendo al quadro un moto discensionale. Sullo sfondo due individui senza fisionomia verificano che tutto venga comunicato senza malintesi. Un comignolo con reggicalze, seducente simbolo di progresso, suddivide in due la tela. Il volto del giornalista è reso da due sanguisughe che avviluppano il pianeta terra da cui spunta con alterigia un soffio di fumo. Intanto una sanguisuga solitaria esplora il globo terrestre.

The painting shows a close up a man dressed in blue and transmit a day’s news. The skyline of bends in the middle giving the picture a movement of descent. Background features two individuals without verifying that everything is communicated without misunderstanding. A chimney with suspenders and seductive symbol of progress in two canvas. The face of the journalist is made by two leeches that envelop the planet earth from which a check haughtily puff of smoke. Meanwhile a solitary leech explores the globe.

Mezzobusto con paesaggio,2010 olio su tela cm 20×20-Pasquale Mastrogiacomo

Al centro del quadro compare, dalla bruma, il mezzobusto di un uomo dal cui collo si levano palazzi, dall’aspetto e dai colori lugubri, circondati da un colletto fumante. Due solini con cravatta, sistemati sul lato sinistro della tela, conferiscono un’aura grave alla composizione. L’incunearsi della linea di orizzonte pare aspirare gli elementi della composizione pittorica come in una clessidra senza fine.

At the center of the picture appears, from the mist, the bust of a man whose neck rise buildings, looking grim and colors, surrounded by a collar smoking. Two collars with tie, placed on the left side of the canvas, giving an aura serious composition. Fall of ideologies

The painting, of a historical nature, is the middle man in a suit and tie while haranguing the audience microphones. The gaze of the subject, facing the left side of the canvas, it invites the viewer to penetrate the space of painting and scroll through the eyes, like a written text, the elements of pictorial composition. A politician or ideologue ready to assemble, incinerated and fetid with conspiracy concepts, a new ideology: “the dialectical vacuity”. Behind sprout two chimneys in the shape of female legs, similar to cypress trees, emblems of death, which frame the spherical head. In the background, arranged choreography, the “white collar” faceless businessmen, merchants of souls, delegates administrators of people’s lives, counselors of hidden puppet guy. Miasma ashen, undulating and meandering in their development, they rise by the lapels and sleeves mild man, meanwhile, an army of leeches forward in search of new nations and new human resources, economic, energy, pins and drain.
The painting, divided in half by reddish tie faceless man in the center background, highlights two different realities, two fragments of world dichotomy between them.
The atmosphere terrifying, chilling, is given by a drawing without the “fingerprints” of color. An expressive color in the shade but not in the gestures of the sign.
The iconography of the painting with attributes makes “contemporary” with arguments that the Autocrat illusionist and alchemic enhances the mass and then bend to his will and that of his advisers occult. A connoisseur of rhetoric and populism in his image that conforms to the multitude. The picture is reminiscent of a “history” now forgotten, depleted of its educational nature. The raised arm with the index turned upward, indicating opponents, suddenly becomes a condemnation of those who want to oppose and counter the offshoot corrupt businessmen and speculators but should warn that political and economic choices with “scientific” distort the ‘existence of millions of people forcing them to a life of poverty and forced migration.
The artist takes a photograph image of Nobel laureate Alexander Solgenitsyn, author of “The Gulag Archipelago” and transforms it into a contemporary icon deliberately altering the scope of morality. Contextualized in a new reality, desert and choreographed by faceless men, recalls the portraits “dictatorial” that soils the city for propaganda purposes. A reference designed to highlight the author as “good” and “evil” convey their ideas using the same means of communication, the same gestures, the same pose and the same dress.

Seduzione del progresso

Centauro genuflesso, 1993 terracotta cm 20

La scultura in terra cotta, di piccole dimensioni, rappresenta un Centauro in ginocchio con la testa girata e rivolta verso l’alto. Il modellato, sebbene liscio, lascia intravedere le impronte delle dita e delle mirette usate dall’artista. Il busto manca delle braccia, al loro posto si aprono dei solchi curvilinei. Sul viso, un accessorio moderno, una visiera simile a quelle indossate per la visione virtuale, intende attualizzare il significato culturale della figura mitologica.
La scultura è ispirata ai centauri danteschi che nell’Inferno colpivano con le frecce i condannati: tiranni, omicidi, predatori, devastatori, feritori, che immersi nel fiume insanguinato, il Flegetonte, pagavano per i peccati commessi in vita.
L’opera è stata creata negli anni novanta un decennio contrassegnato da omicidi eccellenti, devastazioni economico-finanziare, embarghi, guerre… che hanno oppresso con tirannia gente innocente.
Il Centauro si presenta spossato, dimesso, rassegnato. Rivolge lo sguardo in alto verso la volta celeste che si colora di rosso dal riflesso del fiume. Oramai esausto s’inginocchia, nauseato di vedere perpetuare follemente tali peccati, stanco di ferire e vedere il fiume ingrossarsi fino a tracimare. Sfinito cade in terra a supplicare la sua liberazione.
Una scultura dai tratti malinconici quasi lacrimante per il dolore. Un’implorazione di misericordia e di morte per sottrarsi al duro incarico assegnatogli. Tanti i peccati che feriscono la coscienza individuale e nazionale e affondano nel fiume Flegetonte: parole devastanti pronunciate da politici onorati, vergognose per il loro significato assolutorio nei confronti di alcuni “amici” o circostanze politiche. Si odono risate d’imprenditori senza scrupoli che affiorano dalle acque fetide, uccidendo per la seconda volta chi è finito in tragedia, e sembrano non scandalizzare più nessuno destinate col tempo ad essere dimenticate.
Tante le parole e i concetti “omicidi” che hanno stroncato la verità: ‘guerra preventiva’, ‘interventi chirurgici’, ‘embargo’, ‘esportare la democrazia’, ‘superiorità morale della sinistra’, ‘liberismo’, ‘capitalismo’, ‘comunismo’, ‘new economy’, ‘delocalizzazione’, ‘trasferimento della produzione’, ‘libero commercio’, ‘movimento di capitali’…., hanno devastato la dignità delle persone, hanno ucciso tanti innocenti, hanno ferito la dignità d’interi popoli, parole che ora annegano con chi le ha proferite nel bollore del Flegetonte.
Un’apatia intellettuale pesa come un macigno sulla “mente” di tanti individui che vantano la loro sapienza. Un sapere che si fonda su un “titolo” esposto in bella mostra dietro una scrivania, come ostentazione e avallo di quanto affermano. Esprimono idee su temi che non conoscono, studiano le anomalie degli altri con intelligenza ma non distinguono le proprie. Impegnati a tutelare la morale e i più deboli, si fregano le mani quando c’è da trarne guadagno. Non hanno il coraggio di criticare la loro appartenenza politica e non osano mettere in discussione l’”Infallibilità” di un certo modo di pensare, solo perché discende da una storia di rivendicazioni e di lotte sicuramente giuste ma che disattendono con il loro modo di argomentare e di agire. Uccidono la verità storica con il loro discutere vacuo. Dileggiano l’interlocutore. Incedono tronfi con il loro vessillo-titolo al vento. Sbandieratori e banditori di se stessi pronti a devastare con malizia chi, rispettoso per natura, non sa come difendersi. Approfittatori e predatori, agitano la pergamena del titolo per fornire prova delle loro capacità e conoscenze. Umiliano la bellezza di una donna quasi fosse un peccato e intanto venerano immagini sacre, in cui l’idea del “bello” è esaltato con forme sublimi. Sempre sofisticati e ricercati nei modi, pur di distinguersi, e intanto feriscono, con il loro schierarsi dalla parte di un presunto bene, l’Intelligenza , la Cultura, la Fede. Non hanno reminiscenza di quello che fanno e delle loro vacue opinioni poiché solo nel “dimenticatoio” è la loro forza vitale. Persone ordinarie che posano da ‘alternativi’ del pensiero comune, del costume corrente e intanto sviliscono con arroganza un’idea di nuovo. Persone afflitte da ‘servitù intellettuale’ che feriscono la sensibilità dei giusti, di quanti, pur avendo idee nuove, non sono “titolati” e non possono esprimersi.
Il fiume sobbolle incessantemente, il bollore denso a contatto con l’aria esplode in un’infinità di odori sgradevoli, sembra non farcela a contenere tanti individui, tante parole, tanti concetti. Per questo il Centauro è rappresentato stanco ed emaciato. Solo proprio non ce la fa a reggere quel ruolo, chiede aiuto, chiede un esercito liberatorio che spazzi via ogni peccato. Per troppo tempo si è confidato nell’intelligenza , nella fede, nella cultura, nell’esemplarità è giunto il momento di lasciare il compito a chi ha “competenze specifiche” affinché non si commettano più siffatti delitti.
Il centauro  guarda il fiume e in esso il riflesso della società odierna che sembra edificata su di esso e  lentamente sprofonda nelle acque insanguinate.

The earthenware sculpture, small, represents a centaur on his knees with his head turned and facing up. The model, although smooth, suggests fingerprints and tools used by the artist. The bust is missing arms, in place of open curvilinear grooves. Face, a modern accessory, a visor similar to those worn by the virtual vision, seeks to modernize the cultural meaning of the mythological figure.
The sculpture is inspired by the riders in Hell that Dante struck with arrows the condemned: tyrants, murderers, predators, destroyers, assailant, who plunged into the river covered with blood, the Phlegethon, paying for the sins committed in life.
The work was created in the nineties, a decade marked by excellent murder, devastation and economic support, embargoes, wars … that innocent people oppressed by tyranny.
The Centaur appears exhausted, discharged, resigned. He looks up at the sky that turns red from the reflection of the River. Kneels now exhausted, sick of seeing insanely perpetuate these sins, tired of hurting and see the river swell to overflowing. Exhausted falls on the ground to beg for his release.
A sculpture by melancholic almost weeping with pain. An imploration mercy and death to escape the hard tenure.
Many sins that hurt the individual conscience and national and sink into the river Phlegethon: devastating words spoken by politicians honored for their shameful exculpatory significance in relation to some “friends” or political circumstances. You hear laughter of unscrupulous entrepreneurs who emerge from the fetid waters, killing a second time who ended up in tragedy, and seem designed not to shock anyone with time to be forgotten.
Many words and concepts “murders” that have panned the truth, ‘preventive war’, ’surgery’, ‘embargo’, ‘exporting democracy’, ‘moral superiority of the left’, ‘liberalism’, ‘capitalism’, ‘ communism ‘,’ new economy’,’ outsourcing ‘,’ relocation ‘,’ free trade ‘,’ capital movement ‘…., devastated the dignity of people, killed many innocent people, wounded dignity of whole people, words that now drowning with those who have spoken in the Phlegethon boil.
Intellectual apathy weighs a ton on the “mind” of so many individuals who have their wisdom. A knowledge that is based on a “title” displayed on display behind a desk, as an expression and endorsement of this claim. Express ideas about topics that do not know, study the anomalies of others with their intelligence but do not distinguish. Committed to protecting the moral and the weakest, rub their hands when it comes to gain profit. They have the courage to criticize their political affiliation and not dare question the ‘infallibility’ of a certain way of thinking, just because it follows a history of claims and struggles certainly right but who fail with their way of arguing and acting. Kill the historical truth with their vacuous talk. Mocked the interlocutor. Pacing pompous with their banner-title in the wind. Flag wavers and auctioneers themselves ready to wreak havoc with malice who is respectful by nature, does not know how to defend themselves. Predators and profiteers, waving the parchment of the title to provide proof of their skills and knowledge. Degrade the beauty of a woman if it were a sin and yet revere sacred images, in which the idea of “beauty” is enhanced with sublime forms. Increasingly sophisticated and refined in manner, but to stand out, and while injured, with their side with a supposed good, Intelligence, Culture, Faith. They have no recollection of what they do and their vacuous opinions just as quickly forgotten is their life force. Ordinary people posing to be ‘alternative’ the common thought, customs and current diminish while arrogantly idea again. People suffering from ‘intellectual servitude’ that hurt the sensibilities of the righteous, those who, although new ideas are not “securities” and can not speak.
The river constantly simmering, boil the dense contact with the air explodes in a multitude of unpleasant odors, does not seem to make it to contain many individuals, so many words, many concepts. That the Centaur is the tired and emaciated. Only just can not do it to hold that role, calling for help, asks a liberating army that sweeps away all sin. For too long has relied intelligence, faith, culture, in the exemplariness is time to leave the task to those who have “expertise” so you do not commit more such crimes.
The centaur watch the river and in it the reflection of society today that seems built on it and slowly sinks into bloody water.
