The reasons of the Blog

Reasons if they could list many but it is limited to those most indicative of the artistic point of view.
The intention is to create a sort of virtual gallery, a permanent exhibition, where the author’s works are shown regardless of chronological progression. A blog where everyone can interact, review, express opinions and / or critical of the works and ideas that underlie.
Most of the work is politically motivated and social-environmental works by important content that are intended to stimulate reflection and encourage those who feel shaken by an increasingly impoverished culturally and emotionally. The issues may appear already known, past and somehow “introjected” but the social consciousness today seems enchanted by the teaching television and word of men “divine” and an exhortation visual nature of criticism and “infidel” can affect the charm of a “culture” increasingly pre-packaged and drugged, seeking to subdue the individual conscience.
An attempt, therefore, the blog to show the public, relying on his visual sensibility, which overlook the problems, as leaden, the fate of so many people forced to endure vulgarity and deceptions of various kinds. Just look around or read a newspaper, for example, to realize how many unjust, the language “polished” and full of quotations, they are not deserved to occupy positions through dynamic often unclear, marking the fate of those who it was worthy of quality and moral depth.
It is in these dynamics “occult” hidden in the shadows, never recognized or eligible, the author finds his inspiration. Distressing event that becomes an inspiration for an outlet to share, thanks to network with those who think like him.
In the past, artists have represented the idea of beauty, the same day as Pasquale Mastrogiacomo depict the vulgarity, which inflates his cheeks and breasts of women or “portfolio” of men and is rampant in every social sector, in school, politics and especially on television: iconography of a perfect society contrived, artificial and masquerade.
Many reviews of the works, as these lines are not intended to be “moralizing” or “reformist” costumes but bring the experience and daily life of the artist, his knowledge, his reading, the ideas derived from books, from newspapers, from political debates. A sort of revenge-based art, however, on modesty, not arrogance, sincerity, and not on intellectual dishonesty as it is easier to detect the chaos that surrounds us with the difficult and do the same scrutinizing their conscience.
The works exhibited in the blog can become a means or pretext to vent for those who wish to express their discomfort with the language, the visual, which told the story over the centuries and, before that, the “origins” of man.
Therefore it was asked by users, who run into this site, leave a comment or review, and look through painting or sculpture the world and society around us.
In the blog, also you want to store all the works of pottery, painting, graphics and sculpture and Pasquale Pio Mastrogiacomo (marked with “Pio. M”, “Mastrogiacomo P.”; “Pius Mastrogiacomo,” “Pasquale Mastrogiacomo), for which the owners hereby invited to send a picture of the work info@pasqualemastrogicomo.it so you can review and turn it into a “visual relief”.
